Dwight joined Orr & Associates in 2003. Not many kids dream of becoming an insurance agent someday, but after studying archaeology, receiving his Master’s degree from Yale University, and serving in the USMC, Dwight found that insurance was a great fit for his interest in helping people with an important business need. In 2006, Dwight was named Chief Operating Officer for Orr & Associates and Vanessa Kealy took over the sales and client services for the business. Dwight has continued to dive into education to learn more ways to help clients. In 2007, Dwight earned the Certified Insurance Counselor Designation by taking a series of five insurance courses and passing the required written exams. In 2008, Dwight enrolled in Concord Law School where he was recognized as the class high student in his First Year Contracts class. Law School has helped provided a better understanding of the contracts and civil litigation surrounding businesses today.

 

From the beginning, Vanessa has been an integral part in this insurance business. For 10 years she was an elementary school teacher, but found that she enjoyed working with Dwight servicing clients’ needs and working with business owners better than grading papers. In 2006 she made the switch to being a full-time insurance professional. She especially enjoys the relationships she has with her clients, many of whom have become friends over the years. She and Dwight love working together in the same business and being able to have lunch together every day. In 2007, Vanessa became a Certified Insurance Counselor by taking a series of five insurance courses and passing the required written exams.
